When Social Media Goes Down

When Social Media Goes Down

Hello Faith Love Life & Style friends! How are we doing postFacebook/Instagram outage?

I saw several social media users sharing about inability to access their accounts (for hours on both platforms) earlier today. But by the time the news surfaced, I had just signed off from a video editing workshop … and was ready to review notes from an awesome (money mastery) webinar earlier today. I was also preparing to edit drafts of my next two blog features, prior to this one. Although clueless about the digital chaos, I finished the day feeling productive and efficient.

As Brittany Hennessy (@mrsbrittanyhennessy) discusses in her book “Influencer,” and at last weekend’s #ducttapeandadream conference, what happens if business owners and entrepreneurs lose access to social media platforms (whether temporary or permanently)? What vehicles or tools do we have in place for running our business? Better question … do we rely too heavily on social media to carry out our money moves? Utilizing our business’ email list and tools such as Mail Chimp or  Constant Contact allow us to still operate our business during situations like this. Such occurrences also allow time for professional development training and planning that may be hard to squeeze in on a daily basis.

Long story short, today was yet another great example of “staying ready.” And I’m grateful that my Wednesday agenda for leveling up included additional ways to monetize my blog and grow my business (offline).

My hope is that you were able to get a lot done as well!

A dose of style and inspiration for living!™

Love and light,
