It’s Our 2nd Year Anniversary!

It’s Our 2nd Year Anniversary!

Two years down, many more to go! ✨ It’s our BLOGAVERSARY! ✨

Hello FLLS Fam!  Today marks two years since I started my blog, Faith Love Life & Style, (the day I nervously hit submit on the purchase of my blog site) and it has TRULY been an amazing journey!  I can remember it like it was yesterday.  After purchasing my domain name and activating my site, the first blog post followed, with me nervously adding and removing pics from the article.  I think I spend hours editing it, so that it seamlessly flowed into other topics to come.  Fam, I was an excited mess.  Lol!  And now the rest is history.  A rollercoaster ride of high and lows, opportunities to inspire, creative moments ignited by my own personal experiences and lots of reflection and growth.  Might I add that this experience as a blogger has also allowed me to meet some amazing people, both in and out of the creative space.

From Curlfest 2019 in New York, to Summit 21 in Atlanta, Georgia, it was such a joy to share my first-time experience(s) attending women’s empowerment events with you, as well as take you behind the scenes via Instagram and Instastories.  Through this platform, I have been able to share my love for all things fashion, style, home as well as empowerment and inspiration for everyday living.

Let’s not forget the time we discovered how much we had in common.  Together, we indulged in a few fun seasonal series, encouraging home organization for the new season, learning how to master the art of hosting guests, tackling clutter head-on, while exploring the wilder side of our wardrobes without breaking the bank on “here now-gone later” trends.

We even connected on a deeper level over our methods for managing stress and dealing with feelings of grief/loss (during the holiday season).  We bonded over our borderline obsession with the Christmas season and all the special moments that the holiday season may bring.  And yes, ladies and gentleman, the holiday series shall continue again this year.  But not only did the Faith Love Life & Style family grow, but I further realized the impact that this platform has had on many of you, on myself and a new approach to self-care.

In January, I returned back to the states from well-spent and much needed time with my family.  Shortly thereafter, there was news that former L.A. Laker and basketball legend, Kobe Bryant passed.  This was another confirmation that my extended time away from the blog (after our 12DaysOfChristmas series) was necessary.  It was a reminder to cherish and enjoy every moment with the ones you love, and to not let work and the need to create, post, share, etc. take precedence over moments of restoration.  Just like in 2019 … January was one of rest, relaxation and regrouping.  My retreat and my reset —  unapologetic and undisturbed preparation for the year ahead.

Since my return, things have been very different and I’m not quite sure how to explain it.  But it’s like I’ve been unexpectedly (but willingly) pushed into a meditative space of solitude and retreat, and more pertinently, reflection.  Yeah.  Here comes that “reflection” word again lol.  While living socially and solely through my instastories, I was no longer compelled by the pressures to keep up with posting daily on my social media timelines just because I am a lifestyle blogger, content creator and microfinfluencer.  Instead, I have been less visible online (more than I’ve ever been) yet so very present in my life offline.  It’s been both refreshing and therapeutic, while affirming and empowering.  This time has allowed me to really gauge what direction Faith Love Life & Style will take, as well the resources necessary to execute plans for the next chapter of the brand.

Get ready!  There are some great things coming to Faith Love Life & Style this spring, and lots in store for our FLLS community.

Thank you for all the love and support over the past two years.  Your engagement has continuously ignited me to push myself to new limits.  I hope to continue inspiring you through my journey as a content creator, blogger and working professional.  I cannot wait to share what’s next to come!  So stay tuned in.  – xoxo
