Hello December!

For me, December brings the joy of holiday traditions, the excitement of spending quality time with family and close friends and most importantly, celebrating of our Savior’s birth.  But it also ignites memories of loves ones lost and treasured moments shared with them, at this time of year.

December can be bittersweet.  Yet, it truly is “the most wonderful time of the year.”  A time of reflection and affirmation and the prelude to a new beginning and a fresh start.

This year, I look forward to all of the above plus the balance of holiday bustle and continued self-care.  I spent so much of my time this year focusing on the needs of others and trying to accommodate … that I neglected myself in the process.

However, going into this season, I prided myself on establishing personal regimens that have allowed me to focus on my health and well-being, while making lists and checking them twice.

Before we know it, 2019 will be here and in full swing, so savoring the last moments of 2018 is key.  Here’s to wishing that this month is all that we hope for and more than we expect it to be.
