The New Fall Neutral | Fall Series Vol. 3

Hey you!

If you’re reading this, you’re probably wondering where I’ve been and why you haven’t heard from me in a few.  And while I can’t share all the details right now, I’ll simply tell you this.  Family is everything to me and sometimes life happens, in a way that we have no other choice but to pause or slow down.  But you’ve been on my mind.  In fact, I couldn’t wait to share this falls trends article with you. 

If you follow me on Instagram @faithlovelifeandstyle, it’s like we haven’t parted ways though.  If you’re a part of our FLLS community on IG, you might’ve had a hunch that this blog post was coming.  My Instagram feed not only offers fun curated doses of style and inspiration, but it also gives you a sneak peek of what is to come here on the blog.  With that being said, let’s get into some things.

Welcome to Fall Series Volume 3!

Today we’re talking style and fashion and if you haven’t heard, fall has a new neutral.  A favorite go-to for some and a redefined staple for others … animal print is back in full effect for the fall and winter season.  Yes, you read that correctly.  Some might wonder “did leopard, python and other trendy animal prints ever leave the scene?”  And to be honest, I’d say “no.”  Instead these versatile prints have returned as almost necessary substitutes for the usual tan/camel, cream/ivory, brown, black and other neutrals we see (serving as foundations for a look) throughout this season. Leading up to spring and summer of this year, fashion houses, style gurus and fashionistas raved about animal prints taking center stage. But this season, it’s on another level and I’m here for it!

Whether you’ve always been a fan of animal prints, or just beginning to cross over to the wild side, there’s something in this blog for you.  Chances are, some of you may have a few of these options right in your own closet.  Either way, here’s some inspiration for your fall wardrobe styling and links to shop each item.

Shoes, shoes and more shoes.  A girl can never have too many right?  No matter your geographic location … bundled up this holiday or tanning on a beach just after Christmas brunch, here are a few cute and comfy options I recommend for the season.

SKIRTS

Give me a good skirt and watch me work.  Give me a good animal print skirt and watch me work it.  From high splits to A-line silhouettes, heels or boots, this wardrobe essential is always a great idea.  Rock it with a sweater, a buttoned down shirt, a bright hued top or layered with the perfect jacket.  The options are endless!

BLOUSES, SWEATERS, & TOPS

I’d say that this is my favorite wardrobe category right after shoes.  But the verdict is still in. Lol!  The fall season is such a great time for tops, especially sweaters and turtlenecks in a variety of patterns and prints.  Here are a few of my favorite pieces that have become fall staples I love.

HEADWRAPS (SCARVES)

The scarf is a monumental asset to any fall or winter wardrobe.  But it’s always been a favorite alternative accessory for me – especially when we’re talking about leopard print.  Wrapped around the neck , draped over the shoulders or sported as a head wrap, you can catch me working this statement quite frequently.  How about you?
