Happy Friday FLLS Fam and welcome to all of my new subscribers!

Today I am declaring balance – balance for you and for me. Sometimes when we commit too hard to one thing, another thing suffers or gets put on the back burner. Well, I was putting in work on a few things (focusing on my mom’s care, content creating and building my presence on YouTube and deciphering the next chapter in my legal career ), all while allowing my own self-care to fall to the wayside. So over the past month, I’ve been making a conscious effort to take a step back and really implement time for myself. This goes without saying there has been so much content created that I haven’t shared here on the blog yet. So here we go…

PANTRY

It seems like just a few months ago, I was sharing my quick apartment pantry organization. In case you missed it, click here. Flash forward to 2022, and this new pantry space. I’m all about making things more convenient or less stressful (now more than ever) … and this project has already been a game changer here at home. No clutter or chaos, just convenience … and more time to enjoy the days with family and friends! The woven storage baskets … Give me an IKEA Billy bookcase and watch me put it to work and great use. ENTRYWAY MAKEOVER

Simply put, an entryway is one of the best ways to set the tone in your space, as well as make an sure statement as your guests enter your home. I am loving how this chic, neutral makeover turned out and it has truly made a difference in the overall vibe of my first floor open-concept floor plan. It’s the modern decor elements for me!

COZY MODERN LOFT MAKEOVER

Speechless! I am so excited to see how some of my DMV apartment furniture and home decor pieces were implemented into this space for lounging, watching movies and playing video games (when my nephew visits)! It’s modern and minimal, but so cozy and so inviting. I’m already planning for the addition of an chic accent chair, comfy bench and updated floor lamp. Stay tuned for those, but get into this makeover as a starter …

COZY GUEST BEDROOM MAKEOVER

I’m so happy to share this new makeover video, as it hits a little different for me. In one hand, I got to create a COZY and quaint space for my beautiful mom and in the other hand, I got to revisit my love and passion for interior painting. Like no sideline tape needed either y’all! Whew! I’m over here gasping and talking to my younger self like “Girl where you been?” LOL! It feels sooooo good to have held a brush again! Anyway, our fall guest bedroom makeover and the entire process is finally finished. Well, sans the area rug (from my apartment that needs to be professionally cleaned), a chandelier (also from my previous apartment that needs to be professionally hung), and update dresser drawer pulls. Until then, here you go …

MODERNE BOHO GUEST BATH MAKEOVER

Let’s get away! Despite the transition to fall, I had to create some tropical oasis vibes up in my guest bathroom (late summer) because when my mom is over, this is totally her bathroom space lol. From time to time, she talks about missing home, so palm leaf prints and Caribbean elements it is! This space was also curated with a modern, black and white palette in mind. But foliage/greenery, baskets and tropical touches were implemented throughout to make it feel like a chic spa experience while visiting the West Indies. I call it “modern Caribbean chic.”

NEUTRAL HOME OFFICE MAKEOVER

What can I say? If it doesn’t bring me peace, I don’t want it. And this curated space is giving me all of that! My home office + creator studio makeover is finally complete and I cannot get enough of this space. Airy and neutral tones, with earthy elements and a faux built-in bookcase wall that is the ultimate focal point as you enter the space. This office space has come a long way since moving in, setting up and trying my patience during the first phase here, and it has been so worth the wait! Hope you enjoy ….
